“Synesthesia” – the first concert of the cycle “Vector of Sound”, focused on popularization of classical and modern music.
The program of the concert introduces the listener to the phenomenon known in music as “color hearing”. It is believed that musical art is distanced from visual phenomena, but history gives the opposite examples. What is the essence of the sound-color systems of Rimsky-Korsakov and Scriabin? What were the color preferences of Messiaen, and how are the operas of Rachmaninov associated with yellow? Are there synesthetics among the young composers of St. Petersburg? What will happen if you take seven colors of the rainbow and combine them with musical works?
Performed by laureates of All-Russian and international competitions – Anastasia Taratynova (soprano), Sergey Tyutyunik (violin), Alexey Logunov (piano).
The narrator – Anastasia Logunova.
